THB Bagelry & Deli and LifeBridge Health are teaming up in October for “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

Throughout the month, a portion from every sold Box of Bagels (20 bagels), as well as a portion of sales from every dozen bagels, at THB will be donated directly to LifeBridge Health’s breast cancer centers. The Box of Bagels will be branded pink and feature the LifeBridge Health logo.

In addition , THB will sell limited-edition pink bagels in honor of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” starting on Monday, Oct. 11. A portion of the proceeds from the pink bagels will be donated to LifeBridge Health’s local cancer centers. The pink bagels will be available at all six THB locations — Owings Mills, Columbia, Towson, Timonium, Charles Village, and Canton — and sold until Friday, Oct. 15.

THB will also donate boxes of the pink and assorted bagels to LifeBridge Health’s local breast cancer centers, including the Lapidus Cancer Institute at Sinai Hospital and the Herman & Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center at Northwest Hospital. In addition, THB will provide bagels to the patients at the LifeBridge Health “Mammothon” on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at locations throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area.

“We love giving back to our local community and know that many residents seek cancer treatment at LifeBridge Health hospitals,” said Tony Scotto, THB’s chief executive officer. “Partnering with LifeBridge Health allows us to make an impact directly in our local community by giving back to these cancer centers that so many community members receive treatment.”

In total, THB will donate more than 600 bagels to LifeBridge Health throughout the campaign.  “LifeBridge Health is thrilled to partner with such a wonderful local business to increase awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” said Kelly Meltzer, director of central services in LifeBridge Health’s development department. “The pink bagels are a fun and creative way to raise awareness for the cause. Each sale will help provide treatment and resources to those living with breast cancer in the local Baltimore area, and the pink bagels are sure to bring a smile to our patients and staff in our cancer centers.”

Founded in 1999, THB Bagelry & Deli sold teal-and-purple specialty bagels in September to raise money and awareness for National Suicide Prevention Month. For information, visit eatthb.com.
