There are a multitude of good spots to catch the race action along the route. \nThe Maryland Cycling Classic is part of a four-day weekend of family-friendly community events kicking off Thursday\, August 31 through Sunday\, September 3\, including: a series of regional elementary school visits by athletes featuring bike and helmet safety curriculum for local students; a community bike ride for all ages taking place near Patterson Park on Friday evening; the Team Introduction ceremony where fans can meet the riders; the Bridges of Hope ride – a charity ride benefiting the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation where participants can experience parts of the professional course on Saturday; and an interactive health and wellness festival with food and drinks that will be open to fans throughout the afternoon during the race on Sunday.
