SUMMARY:The Remedy: The Weight of Influence
DESCRIPTION:Hotel Revival Baltimore\, an award-winning hotel within the New Waterloo portfolio of properties\, invites the community to take part in the next transformative installment of its signature wellness series\, The Remedy. Each month\, the series creates space for conversation\, reflection\, and healing—centering wellness in ways that are inclusive\, affirming\, and rooted in community. \nThe next workshop\, titled “The Weight of Influence\,” is a discussion about the emotional toll of living a life judged in real-time by followers\, likes\, and public opinion. While there’s power in being seen\, there’s also pressure\, performance\, and an ever-present fear of saying or doing the wrong thing. This conversation will explore questions like: How do we share online without feeling exposed or consumed? How do we maintain authenticity while setting boundaries? And how do we stay grounded and whole in a world that rewards image over intimacy? \nWorkshops are free and open to the public. Registration includes access to light fare and a cash bar courtesy of Hotel Revival’s food and beverage team. For more information or to register\, visit hotelrevivalbaltimore.com/community/happenings.

The funds are now earmarked as a scholarship fund for blood cancer survivors. \nWhile LLS remains its focal cause\, the event also directs a portion of funds raised to additional communal projects\, including the Ulman Foundation and the Jewish Caring Network. \nFor information\, visit tourdecourt.org. SUMMARY:Teshuva\, Tefillah\, Tzedakah: A Three-Part Learning Series to Get Ready for the (Jewish) New Year
DESCRIPTION:According to the High Holiday machzor (prayerbook) there are three things that aid in securing a place in the Book of Life: repentance for missteps\, prayerfulness\, and giving to those in need. Whether or not you are compelled by the idea of a Book of Life—or even believe in a G!d who takes accounting of all people at this time of year—these three ways of engaging in age-old Jewish customs\, repeated throughout the yamim noraim (the days of Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur)\, can enhance your understanding of yourself and the world. \nThrough three sessions (Sept. 3\, Sept. 10 and Sept. 17)\, dive into these three categories and consider what makes them essential to spiritual growth and well-being. Bring your lunch (Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh provides snacks and beverages) and join others for a three-week lunch-and-learn as we get more connected to the “three T’s” of the season and\, maybe\, get a few ideas for how to get ready for the High Holidays before they arrive. \nRecommended donations: $54 – $118 \n

SUMMARY:Master Naturalist to Speak at Roland Park Community Center

These species provide habitat and food for pollinators and birds whose populations are at risk.” \nMilligan\, a master gardener and watershed steward\, will demonstrate how to solve common landscaping problems while protecting the watershed\, restoring biodiversity\, and adding value to your home. Using readily available native plants\, she will share examples of simple and easy ways to create diverse habitats in large and small yards.
