Keswick

Baltimore’s premier provider of services for older adults has a new, yet familiar face at the helm.

In September, Aileen McShea Tinney, MHS, MS became president and Chief Executive Officer of Keswick. She previously assisted with the launch of the organization’s community-based division as vice president of Keswick Community Health.

“Keswick’s evolution has been forward-thinking and innovative, using its resources in partnership with older people, families and neighborhoods in and around Baltimore, nurturing the possibilities to Live Well, Age Well and Be Well,” Tinney says.

“Serving as steward of Keswick’s significant resources is a responsibility aligned with my dedication to this work for more than 25 years, in the realms of aging, health and housing for older people,” she adds.

Tinney has devoted her career to developing logical and dignified health and housing opportunities for older people, rooted in systems and structures that make sense for individuals, communities and society.

Her educational credentials include a master’s degree in the Management of Aging Services from The Erickson School at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, a Master of Health Science in Finance and Management from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California’s Leonard Davis School of Gerontology.

Besides spending three years during her first stint at Keswick, she spent 18 years at Catholic Charities – most recently serving as Senior Services division director. Earlier, she was a business analyst with University of Maryland Medical System.

Her passion about service to older people even extends into her extracurricular activities, chairing LeadingAge Maryland and having served on the St. Mary’s Outreach Center board.

Tinney’s unique set of skills, professional experiences and perspectives and diverse networks of partners in the aging community and beyond will suit her well as she leads Keswick in strategically positioning itself for the next decade.

“I look forward to continuing the innovative work that Keswick is doing in the field of aging to support older people and their ability to live their best lives,” she says.
