The Pikesville Farmers Market is on the move.
This year, the market — now in its 25th season — will be located on the grounds of the historic Pikesville Armory, at 640 Reisterstown Road. For the past decade, the farmers market was located in the parking lot of the Pomona Square Shopping Center, at 1700 Reisterstown Road.
“Our foundation is overjoyed at the announcement of the Pikesville Farmers Market moving to the Pikesville Armory this May,” said David Ginsburg, executive director of the Pikesville Armory Foundation. “Since our founding, the Farmers Market has always been considered a crucial cornerstone of the community hub we are building here.”
The market — which is coordinated and overseen by the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce — will operate on Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m. from May 5 to Nov. 24. This year, the market will include space for 50 vendors, an increase from approximately 30 in recent years.
“As we celebrate 25 years of supporting local agriculture, small businesses and community connections, moving to the Armory gives us the space to grow intentionally — welcoming more vendors, expanding programming and strengthening food access while remaining rooted in the values that have defined this market,” said Beth Rheingold, the chamber’s president and CEO. “This move will position the farmers market as a central part of Pikesville’s future as a vibrant community hub.”
Among the offerings from vendors will be fresh produce, meats, desserts, beverages, prepared foods, crafts, cut flowers, frozen treats, apparel, jewelry, health and beauty items, gifts and professional services. New this year will be canine treats, an expanded apparel area and additional food trucks.

The Armory location features dedicated parking for vendors and customers, easy access, on-site portable restrooms, consistent signage and improved logistics.
For the first time, the market will have shaded areas and a lawn section for recreational activities. In particular, children are invited to visit on Tuesday, June 23, for “Kids Day,” with special family-fun entertainment and games.
“We’re thrilled that customers will be able to park, stroll, shop and relax in a park-like setting that offers shade and a grassy promenade,” Rheingold said. “Bring the family — including your dog on a leash — to shop, spend leisurely time and even enjoy a picnic.”
