Raoul Middleman Studio Museum to Present ‘Seascapes’ Exhibition

The Raoul Middleman Studio Museum, located at 943 N. Calvert Street in Baltimore, will hold its second exhibition, “A Painter’s Paradise: Raoul Middleman’s Seascapes ” from Apr. 22 to Oct. 21. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, Apr. 22, from 1-4 p.m.
The paintings in the exhibition depict scenes from Buzzards Bay on the southeast side of Cape Cod. Known for its windy sea breezes and pink granite dotted shoreline, the bay and its dramatic skies served as a profound inspiration to Middleman’s paintings for five decades.
The Raoul Middleman Studio Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting his artistic legacy. The Mount Vernon townhouse where the museum is located served as the Middleman homestead for many years. Middleman (1935-2021) is considered one of Baltimore’s most important contemporary artists.
Hours are on Saturdays from 1-4 p.m. or by appointment. For information, contact Ben Middleman ben@benmiddleman.com or443-990-1290, or visit raoulmiddleman.com
