Like the famed cliff swallows of Capistrano from the old Ink Spots tune, the Pikesville Farmers Market returns every spring. Gearing up for its 22nd season, the market is now accepting applications for business vendors and nonprofits.

A community staple presented by the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce (formerly the Pikesville-Owings Mills Regional Chamber), the market starts Tuesday, May 16. (The market is not currently accepting applications for vendors of baked goods, candles and scented gifts, or skin care for the 2023 season.)

Held every Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. (rain or shine) in the parking lot of Pomona Square shopping center at 1700 Reisterstown Rd., the market runs through Nov. 21.

Approximately 4,000 visitors attend the market every year. The market is subsidized by a grant from Baltimore County.

More than 30 high-end vendors — selling homemade, handcrafted and/or homegrown products — will be featured at the market. Among the offerings are produce, baked goods, soaps, wine, plants, whiskey, custom gifts, clothing, jewelry, juices and more.

Vendors will include food trucks and farm stands. Among the vendors this season will be Hillside Meadow Farm, Zoetic Wellness, Twin Valley Distillers, Europe Restaurant-Pit Beef and Boordy Vineyards. In addition, the Mount Washington Farmers Market held its grand opening last Sunday, May 7. The market — held every Sunday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at Northwest Park, 2101 W. Rogers Ave. — features more than 20 vendors of fruit, vegetables, fresh bread, coffee and flowers, as well as works from local artists.

“Our mission is to provide the Mt. Washington community, Baltimore, and surrounding areas with fresh, locally sourced and produced food all year,” the market’s organizers posted. “All products sold at the Mt. Washington Farmers Market are sourced from growers, artists, raisers, and producers that come from within a 100 mile radius of Baltimore City.”
