Nadav Tamir, executive director of J Street Israel, will speak on Thursday, June 8, at 7 p.m. at Pikesville’s Har Sinai-Oheb Shalom Congregation, 7310 Park Heights Ave., about the role American Jews can play in building a better Israel.

Tamir, a member of the board of the Mitvim Think Tank, is an adviser for international affairs at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, and a member of the steering committee of the Geneva Initiative. He served as an adviser to the late Israeli President Shimon Peres and in the Israel Embassy in Washington, D.C. and as consul-general to New England.
