Tuesday, Sept. 5, will mark the return of the Baltimore Zionist District’s weekly “Tuesday Morning Virtual Events.” The events will take place every Tuesday at 11 a.m., offering opportunities to embark on journeys exploring Jewish culture, heritage and identity across the globe. Whether one is a history aficionado, a connoisseur of culture or simply curious about the interwoven threads of Jewish heritage, BZD’s “Tuesday Morning Virtual Events” cater to a diverse range of interests.

On Sept. 5, attendees will examine the Iranian Jewish experience. Award-winning Iranian-American Jewish writer Tabby Refael will guide participants through “My Heart Is In The East, But I Am In The West: The Iranian Jewish Experience.” This virtual tour promises to illuminate a community’s journey spanning centuries and the intricacies of culture.

September’s itinerary promises an array of tours that underscore the diverse tapestry of Jewish heritage. From unraveling the enigmatic Jewish history of Trieste to the vibrant story of Jewish life in Berlin, each event provides a unique lens through which to explore the world. The month will also feature a “Journey Into History,” inviting participants on a virtual tour of the Jewish city of Recife, unearthing the origins and evolution of a thriving community.

Each virtual tour costs $10 per screen, allowing attendees to share the experience with friends and family. BZD membership is available for a nominal yearly fee of $75, granting unlimited access to all virtual tours. This offers access to the dynamic lineup and supports BZD’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and connected community.
