Tomorrow, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, the Baltimore Jewish Council, the local synagogue community and the Baltimore Board of Rabbis will hold a solidarity rally for Israel at Beth Tfiloh Synagogue, 3300 Old Court Road in Pikesville.
“Join us as we gather in solidarity and in support of the State of Israel during a difficult and painful time for the Jewish homeland and the Jewish people,” reads an announcement for the gathering.
Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Attendees are being asked to only bring small bags due to security processing and allow extra time to enter the building.
In addition, Pikesville’s Chizuk Amuno Congregation, at 8100 Stevenson Road, will hold a special prayer service for Israel tonight, Oct. 9, at 6 in its main sanctuary
“We would like to start by coming together to pray, hold one another, and unite as a community in the face of this sorrow,” the synagogue stated. “Many of us have family and friends who are dear to our hearts living in Israel. It is hard to be so far from them, and so we come together as a community to support one another. Join us for a special prayer service, including Minhah/Maariv with special Israeli tunes, special prayers for healing, safety, and the return of all captives, and reflections from the clergy.”
