Health and Wellness Symposium at Chizuk Amuno
Join Chizuk Amuno Congregation’s brotherhood and sisterhood for their “Health and Wellness Symposium” on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore sessions on men and women’s cancer, memory loss, diabetes prevention, hands-on bleeding control techniques, yoga and more.
Keynotes speaker is cardiologist Dr. Harry A. Silber of Johns Hopkins Medicine on “Reducing Your Risk for Heart Disease.”

Also, “Mindful Munching: Healthy Holiday Eating Tips with Portion Control” by Stacy Forman, registered Dietitian; “Urologist/Men’s Cancers” by urologistsDr. Max Kates and R. Christian B. Evensen; “Women’s Cancers” by Rena Lapidus PhD, University of Maryland School of Medicine; “Stop The Bleed” by Dr. Elliot Haut, trauma surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital; Diabetes Prevention by lifestyle coach Dixie Leikach; Acupuncture, Rebecca King, licensed acupuncturist; Yoga with yoga teacher and mentor Barri DeFrancisci and “How to Better Understand Memory, Forgetfulness and Brain Health” by neurologist Dr. Jim Wolf.
Cost is $10/person (through Nov. 22). Lite fare food will be provided.
