Avraham Rosenblum and LevSoul will present “An Evening of Acoustic Jewish Music” on Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Katz Jewish Music Center at MMAE Congregation, 7000 Rockland Hills Drive in Pikesville’s Greengate community.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30.

Considered a pioneer of contemporary Jewish music, Rosenblum, a Baltimore-based singer/songwriter/guitarist, has influenced generations of Jewish musicians and inspired audiences around the world.

As a founding member and leader of the award-winning Diaspora Yeshiva Band, he has produced music that has blended rock, folk, country and blues — all infused with messages of Torah, spirituality and Jewish identity.

Opening the concert is LevSoul, whose original compositions and distinctive arrangements have earned the Baltimore-based group a growing following.

LevSoul blends folk, rock and jazz with rich harmonies to create music rooted in Jewish texts, values and contemporary life.

“Music has a unique ability to reach the heart and connect people to their heritage,” said LevSoul co-founder Dave Gerhardt. “Sharing the concert with Avraham — someone whose music has inspired us and so many others — is an honor and special treat.”
