Holiday party fashions (composite image)

Stand out in party dresses bold in color and personality.

Ready. Set. Party!

But first, make sure you’re fabulously attired. Here’s what you need to make a grand entrance this holiday season:

Embrace the new maximalism with a shimmery-sequined, winter floral or bold, jewel-toned gown in a luxe fabric like velvet or chiffon.

For classic elegance, opt for a single statement-making piece, such as a beaded tuxedo jacket or pleated skirt.

The season’s sexiest looks include slinky slip dresses and shoulder-bearing tops. Meanwhile, the “little red dress” gets a refresh in off-the-shoulder cuts, trendy-fluted sleeves and rich velvets.

And don’t be afraid to be matchy-matchy. Go rogue and add red accessories and a bright crimson lip to that red floor-length frock. Metallic accessories finish the look!
