In honor of Yom Ha’atmaut, or Israel Independence Day, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, Baltimore chapter, will partner with Pikesville’s Beth Tfiloh Congregation and the Joshua M. Rosen Foundation for a special Blue-and-White Shabbat service honoring  the synagogue and Baltimore’s “Lone Soldiers,” who will share and discuss their unique experiences. During davening, a special speaker will discuss what it was like to serve as an American in the IDF. During the sponsored kiddush, attendees will have the chance to chat with other area Lone Soldiers as well.
