Baltimore Ethical Society Bicycle Collection
The Baltimore Ethical Society is collecting bikes for Bikes for the World and Velocipede in the parking lot of the Charles Village Safeway. Please donate your old bicycles and cycling parts and accessories to be put to reuse locally and overseas.
These bicycles will go through Bikes For the World (B4W) to west Africa, the Caribbean, and Central America to go through startup businesses that will provide bicycles to low-income residents. B4W asks for a modest $10 donation to defray the costs of shipping the bicycles. Some of the bicycles may benefit low-income Baltimoreans through the Velocipede Project. Bring those dusty unused bicycles from your basements and garages to this event.
