BJC to Hold Kristallnacht Commemoration

Join the Baltimore Jewish Council for an evening of commemorating Kristallnacht, the 1938 “Night of Broken Glass” and precursor to the Holocaust. The event at Pikesville’s Beth El Congregation, 8101 Park Heights Ave., will feature a talk about the stolpersteine, or stumbling stones, and the effort to mark the last addresses of victims of the Nazis. |

| Baltimore resident Judy Gartner will share her experience of laying stones in Germany at the last known home of her grandparents before they were taken away by the Nazis. The stolpersteine, started in 1992, now has placed over 100,000 stones in 26 countries.
