Bluesman Bob Margolin to Perform at Manor Mill

“Steady Rollin'” Bob Margolin, a blues guitarist best known for his work in the 1970s with the iconic Muddy Waters, will perform Friday night, Jan. 12, from 7-9 at Manor Mill, 2029 Monkton Road in Monkton.
The Boston-born Margolin, 74, has played on several Grammy-winning recordings, won numerous W.C. Handy/Blues Music Awards and is a KBA Award recipient for his work as a music journalist.
He also performed in “The Last Waltz,” the acclaimed 1978 Martin Scorsese film chronicling the historic final performance of the original members of The Band.
In blues circles, Margolin is known as one of the greatest Jewish guitar heroes of all time, along with Peter Green (of the original Fleetwood Mac), Michael Bloomfield, Harvey Mandel, Al Kooper, Barry Goldberg and Leslie West of the band Mountain.
