Community-Wide Kristallnacht Remembrance to be held at Beth El
Join the Baltimore Jewish Council for its annual Kristallanacht remembrance program at Beth El Congregation, 8101 Park Heights Avenue in Pikesville.
Kristallnacht was the orchestrated November 1938 pogrom in Germany and Austria that is viewed by historians as the precursor to the Holocaust.
This year’s program will feature keynote speaker Northwest Baltimore resident Scott Ference, who will talk about the work and legacy of his late uncle, attorney, investigator and philanthropist Ben Ferencz. who served as lead prosecutor of the Nuremberg Trials.
Ferencz, who was featured on TV’s “60 Minutes,” died in April 2023 in Florida at the age of 103.
The talk will be moderated by Robert Lang, WBAL Radio reporter and weekend anchor.
