Lyric Baltimore’s Dream Big Contest is an annual competition for Baltimore City and Baltimore County students in grades 5th-12th that invites them to submit creative works reflecting their dreams for a better world.

Students can submit an original poem, essay, video, musical composition, or artwork. The contest promotes creative thinking and problem-solving around real-life challenges. Deadline for submissions is 2/27.

Top finalists, called “Visionaries,” present their work at the Dream Big Celebration on March 24, 2026, at 7 pm at Lyric Baltimore. Visionaries, Dreamers, and Strivers receive cash prizes and awards. The Dream Big Contest is part of Lyric Baltimore’s education department’s mission to support the voice and agency of Greater Baltimore youth.
