Hampden Restaurant to Hold Next Event Fighting Colon Cancer
The Avenue Kitchen & Bar, at 911 W. 36th Street in Hampden, will hold the next event in its fundraiser series for colon cancer research, the “Neighbors and Friends Cancer Collaboration Dinner,” on Monday, Oct. 23, from 7-10 p.m. This special evening will bring together some of Baltimore’s most beloved local restaurants to support the Kimmel Cancer Center and raise awareness and funds for colon cancer research.
Participating restaurants include Ekiben, City Limits Sports Bar, Little Havana, and October Bar. Guests will enjoy an evening of culinary delights, with each restaurant showcasing signature dishes. Tickets are $80 and include a featured cocktail, beer, and wine, providing attendees with the opportunity to sample the best of Baltimore’s vibrant food and drink scene.
The Cancer Collaboration Dinner is part of an ongoing series organized by The Avenue Kitchen & Bar to honor co-owner Patrick Dahlgren, who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and is currently undergoing treatment at Hopkins. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kimmel Cancer Center, supporting their cutting-edge research and patient care programs.
