HaZamir Choirs to Perform at Gordon Center
HaZamir Teen Choir chapters from Baltimore and Ashkelon will perform at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue in Owings Mills. Special guests will be Kol Rinah and the Krieger Schechter Middle School Choirs, conducted by Erika Schon and guest HaZamir conductors Joshua Gonzalez and Elliot Roman.
Comprised of diverse teens from nine different local high schools, HaZamir Baltimore is one of 38 chapters in the United States and Israel of HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir.
Through weekly rehearsals of high-level Jewish choral music, HaZamir creates a pluralistic peer community and builds Jewish identity, leadership skills and a strong connection to Israel.
