About The Panelists:

Brett Cohen

Brett Cohen is the CEO/Owner of Kitchen Saver. As the second-generation owner of Kitchen Saver he has grown the company from taking ownership in 2013 into a multi-state operation committed to providing customers and employees with a 5-star experience. He has been quoted as saying that the secret is to treat your employees like gold so they treat your customers like diamonds. Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters in Jewish Education from Baltimore Hebrew University. Brett and his family are active members of Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, and he currently sits on the board of governors for the Associated. Originally from Jericho, N.Y., Brett relocated to Baltimore in 2002. Brett and his wife, Julie, live in Pikesville with their two sons, Benji and Jacob, and two dogs, Sadie and Louie.

Emma Snyder

Emma Snyder is the owner of The Ivy Bookshop and Bird in Hand Coffee & Books. She previously served as Executive Director of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation, is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Wisconsin, and has taught in an array of places — from elementary school in Louisiana to graduate students in Beijing. A native Baltimorean, she’s very happy to be back home and surrounded by books.

Matt Levinson

Matt Levinson officially joined the team at Levinson’s in 2005. He grew up in Pikesville and attended Pikesville High School. When not in school, Matt learned every job at the funeral home from the ground up. He attended the University of Delaware where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, then CCBC, where he earned his Mortuary Science degree. Not long after, he joined the staff at Levinson’s as a licensed funeral director. Matt now serves as president of the company, running day-to-day operations, building his vision of how Levinson’s will operate to serve future generations, and constantly looking for ways to improve the experience for Levinson’s families. A member of Beth El Congregation and Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, Matt and his wife, Katelyn, live in Pikesville and have two young children, Zach and Jillian.

Thibault Manekin

From the time he was little growing in Baltimore City, Thibault Manekin wrestled to understand why we as human beings seemed so divided. In 2002, he traveled to South Africa to help create Peace Players, a nonprofit with the mission of bringing together children from war-torn countries through basketball and dialogue. In 2006, Thibault moved back to Baltimore where he helped start Seawall, an impact driven company focused on re-imagining the real estate industry as we know it. In 2011, he was honored by President Obama’s White House as a Champion for Change, and Seawall’s projects have received numerous local and national awards. In 2020, Thibault launched the Larger Than Yourself podcast, and in November of 2021, he released his first book, Larger Than Yourself. Thibault is the proud husband of Lola Manekin and father of Durban and Finley Manekin.
