Harmony of Opposites

Join the Liriodendron Mansion for the opening reception of Minas Konsolas: Harmony of Opposites. In this body of work, Konsolas explores Heraclitus’ theory that opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent.

Minas Konsolas was born in Greece and has lived in Baltimore since 1976, where he graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Konsolas is known for employing a variety of artistic styles and techniques, which allows his work to continually evolve. His constant focus is how light interacts with color and form.

The Liriodendron Mansion is the historic estate of Dr. Howard Kelly, one of the four founding physicians of the Johns Hopkins Medical College, today known as the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

The exhibition runs October 13 – December 7. Admission is free. Gallery hours are Wednesdays, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. For information, contact Liriodendron at 410-879-4424.
