My Journey With Jewish Music with Professor Alexander Fiterstein

November 3, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

“Celebrating Jews in the Arts” is a three-part series devoted to the vibrant legacy and ongoing influence of Jewish creativity. Hosted by distinguished experts, each event showcases how Jewish artists and performers have shaped music, visual arts, and comedy across generations.

The series opens November 3, 2025 at Beth Israel Congregation at 7 p.m. with acclaimed clarinetist Professor Alexander Fiterstein, Chair of Winds at the Peabody Institute. Fiterstein introduces audiences to Klezmer music—a genre deeply rooted in Jewish tradition. His presentation and live performance reveal how Jewish music continues to inspire today’s classical landscape, celebrating history, identity, and cultural fusion.

“Celebrating Jews in the Arts” promises a memorable journey through achievement, innovation, and resilience. Join Beth Israel Congregation to honor the masterpieces, music, and laughter that continue to shape our world.
