The 19th Annual Matzohball 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is a family event around the beautiful lake, in Centennial Park, Ellicott City, Maryland on Sunday, June 4th.

We welcome runners, walkers and joggers of all ages. Interactive activities include health screenings & wellness related booths, the annual Fire & Rescue Pump-A-Thon and a demonstration by the Kangaroo Kids, an internationally acclaimed precision jump rope team. Whether running or walking or just enjoying the activities at Howard County Family Wellness Day, there is something for everyone!

Temple Isaiah in Clarksville, MD sponsors and plans this unique event every year, complete with the “Running of the Rabbis” and the “Matzoh Belles” cheering on the runners! There is always an iconic shirt and running bags that include a certificate for a cup of Matzohball soup from Mikey & Mels in Clarksville, MD.

Participant fees support HopeWorks, Grassroots Crisis Intervention and Dream Builders, enabling them to continue their important work. This year our theme is: Born to Run.. Together, emphasizing diversity and inclusion and the importance of valuing every human being, no matter our differences.
