Waldorf School of Baltimore to Host Annual ‘Waldorf Fair’
The Waldorf School of Baltimore’s 38th annual “Waldorf Fair” will take place on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school, 4801 Tamarind Road.
The family-focused gathering offers a variety of “unplugged” activities that make Waldorf education unique, including jump rope making, wreath making, wand making, beeswax candle rolling and dipping, the fishing game, snowball catapult, classic marionette puppet performances, animal petting zoo, toddler story times, musical petting zoo from Stages Music Arts, live music and more.
The Holiday Marketplace is a shopping experience stocked with unique handcrafts and wares from more than 30 local artisans and small business vendors. Outside, patrons will find food tents from some of the region’s best chefs and restaurants, including Woodberry Tavern (Spike Gjerde), Heritage Smokehouse (George Marsh), Ryleigh’s Oyster (Patrick Morrow) and Dizzy Cow Pizza. Inside, a sweet sales table and hot cocoa bar round out the annual delights.
The Waldorf School of Baltimore is a non-profit independent school serving preschool through middle school students. It is one of more than 1,200 Waldorf schools worldwide and has been educating and inspiring children to think, feel, and act with depth, imagination and courage since 1952.
Entry to the fair is free. Tickets are required for select activities and make-and-take crafts. More information and early bird tickets at www.waldorfschoolofbaltimore.org
