While their Pikesville operation will remain open, the Gourmet Girls upscale market, eatery and catering service announced it will close its Owings Mills location at 1 Easter Court on Dec. 31.

“It is with great sadness that we have decided to close our Owings Mills location,” The Gourmet Girls management recently posted on social media . “We have shared enormous success with our community of loyal customers. Our neighbors have welcomed us from the beginning, and we have created valued and meaningful relationships with all.”

Founded and co-owned by Lisa Honick and Barbara Collurafici, The Gourmet Girls opened in Owings Mills in June of 2007. The Pikesville location — at 3713 Old Court Rd. in the Dumbarton Square shopping center, in the former space of Gourmet Again — opened in October of 2020 and will now serve as the home base of the business.

“The past two years have proven difficult for small businesses, but our decision to combine our two locations will allow us to continue and maintain Gourmet Girls as a staple of the community,” the owners said in the social media post. “For all, we wish health and happiness as we enter 2022. We have so much gratitude for our customers and know we couldn’t have made it through this without you. Look for special offers & incentives in your inbox! From the entire team at Gourmet Girls, we thank you and look forward to seeing you in PIKESVILLE!”

According to local media reports, The Gourmet Girls management said all of the staff from the Owings Mills location will be offered jobs at the Pikesville operation.

In an interview with Jmore in early 2020, Honick said of the Pikesville opening, “I get emotional when I talk about it, especially because Barbara and I have been cooking for people in the neighborhood, in the community, for years. Barbara has been doing it even longer than I have — for 45 years. … For a little place, it has a lot of history. … We’re coming full circle.”
