The Bender Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington will present Lior Raz, the Israeli star and co-creator of the Netflix TV series “Fauda,” in a conversation with Dana Bash, CNN’s chief political correspondent, at its “Voices of Leadership” event on Thursday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m.

The Bender JCC is located at 6125 Montrose Road in Rockville.

“Voices of Leadership” is the Bender JCC’s annual evening celebrating civic leadership. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships at the Bender JCC, which reduce financial barriers for individuals and families to participate in JCC programming.

Raz will discuss the process of portraying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a post-Oct. 7 world with antisemitism on the rise. He also brings first-hand experience to his work, having served in a special forces unit in the Israel Defense Forces.

The conversation with Raz will be moderated by Bash, anchor of CNN’s “Inside Politics with Dana Bash” and “State of the Union with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.”

In addition, “Voices of Leadership” will honor Drs. Ellen and Stuart Lessans as this year’s recipients of the Bender JCC’s Benjamin Ourisman Memorial Award for Civic Achievement.
