Rebbetzin Hadassah Poliakoff Dies at Age 104

Rebbetzin Hadassah Poliakoff (nee Greenbaum), wife of the late Rabbi Manuel M. Poliakoff, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 30. The longtime Northwest Baltimore resident was 104.

From 1946 to 1986, Rabbi Poliakoff served as spiritual leader of the now-defunct Beth Isaac Adath Israel Congregation, also known as “the Milbrook Shul.” He died in April of 2011 at age 97.

Rebbetzin Poliakoff is survived by her children, Abba David (Laura) Poliakoff, Mrs. Aviva (Rabbi Eliezer z”l) Cohen, Mrs. Rena (Rabbi Avi) Schochet and Rabbi Ephraim (Channa) Poliakoff; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Monday, Dec. 1, at Sol Levinson & Bros. in Pikesville. The burial will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Har Hamenuchot Cemetery in Jerusalem.
