Friends, neighbors, patrons and members of the Baltimore’s community will gather on Thursday, Apr. 30, from 3-7 p.m. for a special Cancer Benefit for Patrick, the beloved owner of The Avenue Kitchen & Bar, at 911 W. 36th Street in the heart of Hampden.

For years, Patrick Dahlgren has been far more than a restaurateur — he has been a pillar of the community, a friend to many, and a constant source of generosity and support for those around him. Now, after a difficult two year battle with cancer, the community he has long served is stepping up to support him in return.

The benefit event will feature beer, wine, specialty cocktails, appetizers, music and raffles, with a $40 donation requested to attend. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and its cancer research efforts.

Funds raised from the event and additional donations will help offset the overwhelming medical and care expenses Patrick continues to face, allowing him to focus on what matters most healing and recovery.
