Communal Professionals to be Honored by Na’aleh

Na’aleh: The Hub for Leadership Learning announced it will honor four Jewish communal professional at its annual event, “Celebration of Professionals,” on Tuesday morning, June 9, at The Associated Headquarters at the Goldsmith Campus, 5700 Park Heights Avenue.

Na’aleh is an agency of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore.

Esther Greenberg, chief advancement officer of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore, will receive the Daniel Thursz Distinguished Jewish Communal Service Award.

Leora Match

This annual award recognizes a professional who has worked in the field of Jewish communal service for at least two decades, serves the greater Baltimore community, and demonstrates leadership and exemplary professional skills.

Leora Match, director of Adamah Adventure Camp, will receive the Outstanding Jewish Communal Professional award for demonstrating exceptional promise and a commitment to a career in Jewish communal service.

Kathleen St. Villier Hill
Kathleen St. Villier Hill

Kathleen St. Villier Hill, executive director of the Elijah Cummings Youth Program will receive the Neely Tal Snyder Community Impact Award.

This award honors the memory of the late Neely Tal Snyder by recognizing a professional with a strong commitment and passion for Jewish community. The winner of this award has helped to build immersive and/or hands-on experiences/programs that have community impact and demonstrate creativity, openness and inclusion.

Ben Gershowitz

Ben Gershowitz, senior vice president of facilities at The Associated, will receive the Unsung H.E.R.O. Award. This award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond their typical daily job, to care about the overall functioning of the organization and the people that surround them, and supports their organization with “Heart, Excellence, Reliability and Optimism.”
