Facing 2017 In Style

The start of a new year is the perfect time to update your beauty routine. To get you up to speed on the latest trends, Jmore spoke with Samantha Blumberg, makeup artist and owner of the Baltimore-based Pout Lipsticks.

Matte’s Back!

Start with a matte foundation and a smidge of blush for a pore-less yet rosy complexion.
Lip Service

There’s nothing subtle about this season’s lipstick hues. Bold rich browns add drama and sensuality, especially when paired with the right shade of lip liner.

The Eyes Have It

Stick to pale shades of shadow, but emphasize the eyes with lots of mascara.

Nail It!

Summer and fall blues give way to silver and grays in metallics or mattes.

Curly Girls, Rejoice!

Straight hair is out, and short, wavy hair is in. If curls don’t come naturally, add soft waves with a curling wand or hot rollers.
