– Zvi Ammar, head of the Jewish community in the southern French port city, advising Jews there not to publicly wear traditional skull caps because of a teenager who recently attacked a Jewish teacher with a machete because he was wearing a yarmulke.

– Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, eulogizing David Rubinger, the Israeli photographer who took the iconic photo of Israeli paratroopers standing in front of the Western Wall after its capture in the Six Day War. Rubinger died on March 2.

–A witness on an Israeli tourist, Shivel Dikstein, 18, who police in New York arrested after he climbed the Brooklyn Bridge and jumped a fence to take a selfie there. The man was charged with criminal trespassing.
“I couldn’t understand why people were donating in what seemed like weird amounts to the cause. There are sums of 18, 36, 72 dollars, etc.”
– Adeel Karim, creator of the Stand With New Tampa Muslims crowdfunding page to help repair a mosque in Tampa damaged in an arson attack, on realizing that many of the donors were Jewish after noticing the gifts came in multiples of 18
“She lived alone, but did not leave alone.”
– An Israeli Holocaust survivor, on Hilde Nathan, a Holocaust survivor who recently died alone in the Canary Islands at the age of 90. Nathan was laid to rest in Israel alongside her mother, and more than 200 Israelis attended her funeral.
