World-renowned, Maryland-raised mentalist and magician Max Major will headline the 2021 “Be A Hero At Home” event on Saturday, June 12, to benefit LifeBridge Health’s Center for Hope.
The hybrid event, which begins at 7 p.m., will feature a virtual program and auction, with guests invited to gather in small groups outdoors at a home of their choice or in their own residence. Various sponsorship opportunities, as well as individual tickets, are available.
Major, who grew up in Carroll County and now lives Las Vegas, was a semi-finalist on the 15th season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”
His performances, which combine magic, mentalism and hypnosis, are regularly featured at corporate events and on stages across the globe.
A part of the LifeBridge Health system, the Center for Hope is a new comprehensive violence intervention and prevention center. The Center for Hope was established to integrate LifeBridge Health’s community violence programs into a single location.
It includes the Baltimore Child Abuse Center, a nationally accredited child advocacy center; the domestic violence hospital response program at Sinai Hospital and the DOVE program at Northwest Hospital; the Kujichagulia Center workforce development program; hospital violence intervention teams at Sinai and Grace Medical Center; a Safe Streets site in the Belvedere/Park Heights neighborhood; and a new elder justice center.

“Center for Hope is excited to welcome virtual mentalist Max Major to our much-anticipated hybrid event that will bring the community together at one’s own home or at small, socially-distanced outdoor gatherings to raise awareness for the important work that our center does to combat violence across the lifespan,” said Adam Rosenberg, LifeBridge Health’s vice president of violence intervention and prevention. “This is the first ‘Be A Hero’ event since bringing all violence intervention and prevention programming together under one roof at Center for Hope, and I can’t wait to be mesmerized by Max Major, a talented and thrilling entertainer.”
