The weekend will feature a sampling African Jewish traditions and melodies, and Njogu will speak about his own Jewish journey and the Abayudaya community. Njogu has served as president of the Abayudaya’s youth movement and tutored young community members preparing for their b’nai mitzvah. He is currently an intern at Hamakom, a Conservative congregation in Los Angeles.
