UMBC Center for Ethics and Values to Hold Public Forum

As part of its inaugural year, UMBC’s Center for Ethics and Values will host five public forums about a wide range of topics from a powerhouse lineup of guest speakers from various academic and professional backgrounds. Tonight, Feb. 27, the center will host the next of these public forums, “Neuroscience, Freewill, and Moral Responsibility,” at the Fine Arts Recital Hall, 1000 Hilltop Circle. There will be a special alumni reception prior to the forum.

Dr. Adina L. Roskies

Speakers will include Dr. Adina L. Roskies, professor of philosophy at the University of California Santa Barbara, and Dr. Aaron Schurger, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and the Brain Institute at Chapman University in Orange California. Moderated by Dr. Steven Yalowitz, associate professor of philosophy at UMBC
