In camp, there is something new called Hamama. Hamama is based off of nature and animal habitats. In Hamama, there are a lot of new activities that we don’t do every day at home. We also get to explore nature and learn about life cycles. Did you know that Hamama is the Hebrew word for greenhouse?

In Hamama, we made oils and creams for the body. I also made sunburn cream out of aloe, coconut oil, peppermint oil and lavender oil. It looked like clear glue with bubbles. It smelled minty because the peppermint oil really kicked in.

At Hamama, we got to see hydroponics. Hydroponics means water working. There were plants in little cups with very little dirt. There were hoses running through pipes, and the water runs in the cups and goes through the soil. It is very cool to see and I think you would like it, too.

Also, we got to go on a hike and it was fun. We caught tadpoles and crayfish. I caught two of the three crayfish in my group. Hamama was fun and I highly recommend it.
