See the world through rose-colored glasses in vibrantly hued frames.

Whether you’re nearsighted, farsighted or just sartorially savvy, it’s plain to see that prescription frames have become the accessory du jour.

Once upon a time, prescription eyeglasses were relegated to dark movie theaters or lazy Sundays at home. But nowadays, smart specs can be seen on models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner as well as A-list actors as Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lawrence.

Part of the force behind the surging popularity of glasses is the entry of high-end designers into the optical market. The creation of fashion-forward frames, such as Prada’s Baroque glasses, and the accessibility of lower-priced-yet-fashionable lines from Warby Parker, have created a climate where glasses can be both chic and affordable.

One of the latest eyeglass trends is vibrant, rainbow-hued shades in an array of frame styles. With so many sensational options, there is an eyeglass style for every person and outfit. In fact, it’s become common for people to buy multiple pairs of glasses to coordinate with their ensembles, switching frames out like one would a purse or a pair of earrings.

With the recent metamorphosis of prescription frames, being optically challenged has never been so much fun.
