Production Back in Md. for ‘House of Cards’ Season 6 — Baltimore Fishbowl

Netflix and MRC have revived production on the sixth and final season of “House of Cards” with a couple big names added to the cast, the companies announced on Jan. 31.

New actors on the show will include Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear alongside original cast members Robin Wright and Michael Kelly, without Kevin Spacey.

Spacey was infamously booted off the show in November 2017 following a tide of allegations that he made sexual advances toward or sexually assaulted teenagers earlier in his career, and groped or sexually harassed crew members and production assistants while working on the set in Joppa, Md.

Netflix and MRC, the studio behind the award-winning show, suddenly suspended production in October as allegations surmounted, but the companies said in December that they would finish what they started without the star actor.
