Get out your calendars. You’re going to be busy! Here are some of our picks for the top Baltimore-area cultural events to catch during the fall 2018 season. We’ve got everything from book fests to “Fiddler on the Roof” to an alternative “Nutcracker.”

The SNF Parkway Theatre is streaming “Bacurau,” a 2019 political farce directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles that’s based in the Brazilian town of Bacurau. 
“Cirque Nutcracker” comes to Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall Dec. 13-16.
