Dr. Nicole M. Minkove is one of thenewest additions at Clinical Associates, an integrated health care practice thatincludes in-house specialists in 14 medical areas, ranging from cardiology to geriatricsto urology.

“I’m excited by the kind of carethat Clinical Associates provides, the focus on patient-centered medicine,”says Dr. Minkove, a cardiologist who starts at Clinical Associates on July 29 aftercompleting a cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of MarylandMedical Center.

Founded in 1972, ClinicalAssociates has more than 60 physicians, specialists and credential health careproviders who are assisted by 175 trained support staff members. The medical practiceis based in nine locations throughout Baltimore County and City, serving 90,000patients annually.

Besides offering such uniqueservices as an ambulatory surgery center and a nuclear stress-testing facility,Clinical Associates takes care of everything for patients from schedulingappointments, maintaining records and coordinating with providers andspecialists. Each of its offices has laboratory centers for tests and onsiteblood work.

“I’m very excited about coming toClinical Associates,” says Dr. Minkove, a graduate of the University ofMaryland School of Medicine who will be working out of the medical practice’sWoodholme and Towson locations. “I love what I do. For me, cardiology is anexciting, fascinating field, and it’s what I’m most passionate about. I lovehelping people and making deep connections with patients and families. I lovethe outpatient side of it and the long-term relationships with patients.”

On a personal level, Dr. Minkove saysshe appreciates that Clinical Associates “recognizes the importance ofphysician wellness, and that they make room for physicians’ work life balance.I have two young children, and I felt I could speak openly about it [during theinterview process]. They accommodate my schedule and really understand theimportance of work life balance.”
