Wee Chic Boutique to Celebrate Anniversary by Helping Trauma Victims

To celebrate its 12th anniversary, Wee Chic children’s boutique in Green Spring Station wanted to do something festive and special that would also benefit the community.

From May 10-15, Wee Chic — in honor of May being “Trauma Awareness Month” — will raise money and awareness to support the work of LifeBridge Health’s Center for Hope. Each in-store donation to the center will be recognized by adding a paper butterfly to a growing art display that decorates the storefront. The installation serves as a reminder of the resilience of childhood trauma survivors .

The donation of a butterfly supports the Center for Hope, the nation’s first comprehensive violence intervention and prevention center affiliated with a large regional health care system, which will be headquartered at Sinai Hospital.

Wee Chic will match 100% of the donations throughout the month.

In addition, Wee Chic and its owner, Bridget Quinn Stickline, will host other shopping incentives next week, including birthday discounts from 25-60% off. Pascale the Baking Diva will close out the week’s festivities on Saturday, May 15, by selling custom bakery treats at Wee Chic, including cupcake-decorating kits and a mini-tiered birthday cake.

“We’ve always been community-minded as a business,” Stickline told Jmore last year after participating in a benefit initiative for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland. “Now, I think it’s more important than ever to support these groups and to create hope.”

Wee Chic is located at Green Spring Station, 2360 West. Joppa Rd., #115, in Lutherville. For information, call 410-878-7400 or visit weechic.com.
