Recipe: Avocado and Radish Salad

Summertime dining should always be a fiesta of the senses! In that vein, enjoy these delicious recipes courtesy of Chevy Chase resident Pati Jinich, the James Beard Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated host of PBS’s “Pati’s Mexican Table.”

Avocado and Radish Salad

Course Salad, Side

Ingredients
  

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 Tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bunch radishes washed, stemmed and cut into thin wedges
  • 1 bunch radish leaves washed and dried, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 English cucumber halved and sliced
  • 2 ripe avocados halved, pitted, meat cut into 1-inch pieces

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, whisk together lime and lemon juice, vegetable and sesame oil, salt and pepper.
  • Add the radishes, radish leaves, cucumber and avocado and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
