Chanukah arrives a little bit earlier this year. So the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore and the Gordon Center for Performing Arts will be kicking off the Festival of Lights — celebrated from Nov. 28 to Dec. 6 — a little differently in 2021.

On the first night of the holiday, Sunday, Nov. 28, the JCC and Gordon Center will host a fire show titled Illumination Celebration: Chanukah Ignited. The visual show, which starts at 5 p.m., will include a multitude of acts such as fire jugglers, fire breathers, fire eaters, fire poi, fire hoops and five swords. The show will be led by world-renowned fire dancer Brittany Chandler.
