It’s been approximately 18 months since Andrew “Avi” Mandel, became the new owner of Park Heights Roofing. Business is good, says Mandel, who shares that the secret to Park Heights Roofing’s success is “quality work and good customer service.”
“We do it right the first time,” he says. “We don’t do things on the cheap. We charge a fair price and get the job done on time.”
Park Heights Roofing specializes in roof inspection, repair and installation of shingle, flat, and metal roofs. Park Heights also offers siding installation/repair, insulation services, chimney repointing, and gutter replacement/repair.
The company was founded by Israel “Elgy” Elgamil in 1999. Elgamil started the business after his mother, a single mom, “got ripped off by a roofer,” says Mandel.
“Elgy said, ‘This is crazy. I need to open up a reliable roofing company for the community.’ Being a member of the Jewish community, he was able to get business through word of mouth. He started small and it grew and grew.”
Mandel joined Park Heights Roofing in 2013, when he was recruited by Elgamil.
“I was working in the property management world back then and I worked with roofers all the time. [In 2013] I was young and hungry and motivated. I saw the potential of owning the company one day and being blessed with five children, I knew I needed to provide. So, I took a pay cut to come to Park Heights Roofing.”
The decision turned out to be a wise one.
“Park Heights Roofing has grown tremendously year over year,” says Mandel. “At this point we are a full service residential and commercial exterior contractor serving residential customers across Maryland and commercial clients nationwide.”
Park Heights Roofing is a four time Best of Baltimore (Baltimore magazine) winner; has a A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau; and an A+ rating from Angie’s List which has honored the company with its Super Service Award for the past eight years!
