The check was presented to Julie McDivitt, principal of Woodholme Elementary, and her staff. The new playground will create opportunities for students to engage in healthy activities at school, enjoy the outdoors, and explore open and recreational spaces and activities.

Presenting the check were Woodholme Country club members include Arthur H. Adler, president; Alan Summerfield and Robert B. Schulman, past presidents; Oliver Leoni, general manager; and Vicki Gates, director of finance.

Among those in attendance at the ceremony was Baltimore County Councilman Izzy Patoka (D-2nd).

“Our members, both past and present, know how important outdoor recreation is in the development of young minds,” said Leoni. “At WCC, we value the community that we have been a part of for the past 100 years and are thrilled to be able to contribute toward the construction of a new playground for our neighbors at Woodholme Elementary.”
