The annual rite of passage known as the Pikesville Farmers Market will return on Tuesday, May 6, and runs through Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the front parking lot at Pomona Square shopping center, at 1700 Reisterstown Road.

Approximately 4,000 people visit the market every year. Among the offerings are produce, baked goods, soaps, wine, plants, whiskey, custom gifts, clothing, jewelry, juices and more.

Now in its 24th season, the market only accepts vendors offering products that are homemade or home-grown. Preference is given to Maryland artisans, farmers and bakers. Food vendors must have the proper permit from Baltimore County.

So far, this season’s vendors included Hillside Meadow Farm, Europe Restaurant Pit-Beef, Twin Valley Distillers, Kona Ice, Classique Jewelry, Boordy Vineyards, Lil Ria Natural Soap, The Living Room, McCleaf’s Orchard and Tovavi Falafel.

The Pikesville Farmers Market, which will be held from 2- 6 p.m. every Tuesday, is presented by the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce.
