How do we even remotely comprehend the savagery and horrors of the Hamas terrorist attacks on Oct. 7, 2023?
On Monday, June 23, The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore and the Baltimore Jewish Council will present “Survived to Tell: Be the Witness,” a virtual reality technology initiative to amplify the testimonies of survivors of the massacre.
The immersive experiences will feature five eyewitness stories, offering a one-on-one tour of the key locations where the tragic events unfolded.
The witnesses include Ofir Engel, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri and released after 54 days in captivity; Millet Ben Haim and Mazal Tazazo, Nova music festival survivors; Remo Alhuziyel, a Bedouin police officer and Muslim who saved lives at the festival; and Nimrod Palmach, a civilian credited with saving hundreds of lives that day.
The VR experience will be available to the general community from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m in The Rotunda at The Associated, 5700 Park Heights Avenue. Each experience is 7-10 minutes.
For security purposes, participants are asked to register prior to attending.
