Pikesville’s L’Chaim Day Program recently celebrated a year of serving as a safe and vibrant resource for seniors in the community.

Located at 3617 Seven Mile Lane, the program offers an enriching environment, significantly enhancing the quality of life for older adults through comprehensive care, stimulating activities and a supportive community.

The program serves individuals living independently and residing in other settings, such as group homes or assisted living facilities.

At L’Chaim Day Program, a registered nurse is onsite daily to oversee the medical needs of each individual, including medication review and administration, and facilitating regular contact with local physicians.

In collaboration with Accessible Therapy, the program offers onsite physical, occupational and speech therapy services. This integrated approach has proven to be instrumental in helping individuals reach their full potential, with individualized plans tailored by dedicated professionals.

Among the therapeutic activities at L’Chaim Day Program include:

  • Exercise and yoga, to promote physical health and mobility;
  • Arts and crafts, to foster self-expression and artistic endeavors;
  • Games and activities, to enable a sense of community, cognitive exercises and recreation;
  • Interactive discussion groups, to encourage social connections and cognitive engagement;
  • And daily live music performances.

Nutritional needs are a top priority at L’Chaim Day Program, with breakfast, lunch and snacks served daily. Meals are prepared chef Chaya Bracha “CB” Goldfein and certified by kosher supervisor Rabbi Y. Zvi Weiss.
