On May 6, the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Maryland chapter, will present its “Memory Ball,” a night of local “Dancing Stars,” at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, 700 Aliceanna St. The gala will feature cocktails, dinner, music and dance competition. Chosen for their leadership and commitment to the Alzheimer’s Association, the “Dancing Stars” will perform and compete for “votes.”

Voting takes place online and the night of the Memory Ball when the “Dancing Stars” showcase their fancy footwork in front of guests and a panel of celebrity judges. At the end of the evening, the Alzheimer’s Association will announce the “You’re Our Star” Winner based on “Votes” and the “Judge’s Choice” Winner for best dance.

This is the 15th year for the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual gala with 11 dancers competing for top fundraiser and best dance performance. This year’s theme is Celebrating the Music of the 80s. Memory Ball is the Alzheimer’s Association’s sixth highest grossing gala of 64 national galas.
Proceeds fund local care and support services for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia and their caregivers. Funds also support national services that include the 24/7 Helpline, 800.272.3900.
